A Practice Built Around How You Want to Be Cared For

Dr. Birdwell has been serving Williamson County patients since 2005 — beginning in Spring Hill before the practice moved to its current Thompsons Station location in 2014. Two doctors with distinct approaches, one practice designed to match how you're cared for to what you actually came in for.

How we practice

Four things shape every appointment

We're a two-doctor independent practice. That means we can afford longer visits, slower conversations, and treatment plans matched to the specific patient — not the quarterly numbers of a corporate operator.

Get Matched with a Doctor

We'll match you with the right doctor from the beginning. However, we are a team — depending on your proposed care, we'll ensure you are with the right expert to get your smile healthy and confident.

Designated Time for Your First Visit

Ninety-minute first visits by design. A full exam, your findings reviewed by your doctor directly, a treatment plan you understand — with no expectation of deciding on the spot.

Clear Path to Results

Every treatment plan is reviewed with you. You see what we see, we'll give you our expert advice — and you are in control of what next steps to take.

Upfront Cost Estimates

We verify insurance benefits before your visit and review estimated out-of-pocket costs with you before work begins. Insurance is unpredictable — estimates are a courtesy and your final balance may vary.

Our space

One address. Two decades of practice.

We operate from the same Thompsons Station address we opened in 2014 — dedicated parking steps from the front door, a waiting area designed for a quiet few minutes before your visit rather than a holding pattern, and operatory suites set up for natural conversation between you and your doctor.

We're easy to reach from Franklin, Spring Hill, and Nolensville. Some of our cosmetic patients travel 45 minutes because the precision is worth the drive — that reputation is something we earned case by case.

How we work

What a visit with us actually looks like

The process is intentionally slower than what most patients are used to. That's because it has to be, for the results we stand behind.

  1. 01

Match You With the Right Doctor

When you request a visit, share what brings you in. We match you to the doctor whose focus fits — cosmetic, restorative, family care, or a mix.

  2. 02

    Review Benefits Before You Arrive

Our front desk verifies your insurance benefits and walks you through estimated out-of-pocket costs before your visit. Insurance coverage can vary — we give you the best estimate we have so you're not caught off guard.

  3. 03

Present the Plan in Plain Language

Your doctor reviews findings with you directly — not through an assistant. Imaging, photos, options. You leave knowing exactly where you stand.

  4. 04

    Schedule Around Your Life

Treatment plans are sequenced around your calendar and your budget. We do the work that matters now, and hold the rest for when you're ready.
